We used The Drum Cafe to open our Client Conference. We had never done this before and were a bit nervous about our clients (mostly bankers and Financial Services executives) going for it. The Drum Cafe was patient and extremely flexible in working with us. The result was a HUGE success! We opened our general session by the sounds of their drums, which intrigued and grabbed people’s attention immediately. Bringing people into the general session from an early breakfast and getting them “awake” and excited about the event have never been easier! Our people were absolutely engaged and loved interacting with The Drum Cafe; they talked about it throughout the event. The message was clear and well accepted. We will definitely use The Drum Cafe in future events and strongly recommend them for the opening or closing of a conference. They are also a good alternative for a motivational slot. What better motivational message, then getting people acting on it immediately?

But, I must admit that the highlight of the ConnectWise Partner Summit for me was the entertainment on Thursday night. The team from Drum Cafe entertained the crowd of about 1000 people by leading us in harmony to a spirited African drum symphony. Everyone in the audience was given a drum. The team leader orchestrated us with her arm motions and passion without uttering a single word. The fact that (for the most part) the audience was in harmony with the drummers on stage was astounding. This exercise was billed as a team building exercise, and that it was! It lasted about an hour. The next morning my wrists were sore. I’ll remember that event a long time. If you ever get the chance to see (and participate) with the Drum Cafe, do it! You’ll thoroughly enjoy it.
