The Mifflinburg Christkindl Market has an offering of over
100 high quality food and craft vendors. Visitors will
find the Market to be a holiday shopping treat.
Available
are hand-crafted articles from Germany as well as many areas
of the world. Our craft vendors offer a wide assortment of items for your
holiday shopping needs: From silver to wood to glass to
fabric; German nutcrackers to Russian nesting dolls;
prune people to silver jewelry... and on and on.
Visitors, young and old alike, will be delighted in what
they find.Visitors will find some vendors demonstrating how their items are made, with the items available for sale moments later. For some of our visitors, the food vendors is the reason for attending the market. Your nose will lead you to the traditional German foods such as the many German sausages and potato pancakes to the hot roasted chestnuts and the European almonds. The large variety of food and beverages insure that our visitors will not go away hungry. Ahhhh, and don't forget the Glühwein, a traditional German hot mulled wine. The Glühwein is available in a souvenir mug with the Mifflinburg Christkindl logo and year. 'Christmas in a glass'! Imported German beer is also available at the Christkindl Pub.
